With over 45 dive sites in and around the gorgeous coves and bays of White Beach, Puerto Galera and Sabang there is something for every one to enjoy from Snorkeling, to advanced diving at great sites like Canyons, Shark Cave , Monkey Beach and Talipanan Reef.

The coastal waters around Puerto Galera were declared a marine sanctuary several decades ago. As a result, the reefs have become one of the Philippines and Worlds most amazingly diverse and prolific marine ecosystems. Just a few of the site you can enjoy are listed below

Diving is possible all year round. Visibility is usually in excess of 25m. Sea Temperatures range between 25 and 28C (77 to 82F)

 

Talipanan Reef 15-40m+ (50-130ft+) Advanced Divers

Turtel Talipanan Reef Talipanan Reef is a great dive site with everything an experienced diver could wish for. The reef lies about one kilometer offshore and is teaming with life. Divers often see large pelagic's including White Tip, Black Tip and Grey Reef Sharks. Several species of rays including Leopard and Eagle rays can also be spotted. The reef its self, subjected to currents most of the time, consists of jumbled hard and soft corals that compete for every square centimeter of space. There is a very good representation of most the corals you would expect to see in these vibrant waters.

 

 

 

Sea View House Reef 2 -15m (6-45ft) Open Water & Advanced

A superb dive right off our beach in front of the resort. The reef is in very good condition and is not subjected to heavy currents. Making this site ideal for photography, night and training dives. If you are a dive, dive, dive fanatic then there's more than enough to hold your interest for the third, forth dive of the day or a night dive .Look out for the Blue Ribbon Eels, Leafy Scorpion Fish, Banded Sea Snakes, Spiny Devil, Orangutan Crabs and the Turtle cleaning station

 

 

 

 

Manila Channel 2-22m (6-72ft) Open Water & Advanced

The remains of an ancient trading vessel. This ship apparently caught fire and sank several hundred years ago. Not much is left of the wreck. But the site is a fun dive and has some very healthy corals. Sea fans thrive in the channels moderate currents There is an abundance of fish life to keep you well occupied with any photography that you might be interested in.

 

 

 

 

Coral Gardens 3-15m (10-50ft) Open Water & Advanced Spanish Dancer Eggs

Coral Gardens is one site you can't miss, due to the prolific corals and sponges that grow in the shallow waters. This site is frequently used for training and is also a fanatics snorkeling spot. Basket and stag horn corals are prolific, shell fanciers will appreciate the large variety of cowries species that are common on this reef. Morays, lionfish and frogfish can all be found.

 

 

 

Big La Laguna Beach 2-16m (7-53ft) Open Water & Advanced

Nudibranch Big La Laguna BeachThis is a shallow but very interesting dive,making it ideal for snorkelers as well as advanced divers. You'll find a multitude of hard and soft corals and plenty of small reef fish. Look out for morays, frogfish, crinoids, nudibranch, and a host of other small animals. which make this a micro photographs dream.

 

 

 

 

Sabang Wrecks 3-40m+ (10-130ft+) Open Water & Advanced

Monkey Beach Wreck Fish FeedingSabang Wrecks, the remains of a wooden vessel, one of several scuttled over the years, have become home to cod and snappers. Soft corals have attached themselves to much of the remaining skeleton. Expect to find stingrays, leatherjacket's, surgeonfish and the occasional turtle or two on this site This site is also well known for the amazing array of Frogfish that can be found hiding in the reverses and remains of the wreck

 

 

 

Monkey Beach 3 - 18m (10 - 59ft) Open Water & Advanced

One of the best dives possible here on the Island of Mindoro. The prolific coral life accompanied by the diverse fish life that hide and live in and around the coral and a slow current that is just strong enough to make this a drift dive makes this an extremely enjoyable dive for all divers. Look out for the Clown Trigger Fish, Frog Fish, Mantis Shrimp and various other amazing sea creatures out there. A must for anyone diving here.

 

 

 

MV Alma Jane Wreck 30m (100ft) Advanced Divers

This wrecks was recently sunk in 2003 for the purpose of diving and has started to accumulate good coral growth. This wreck has become a haven for Sweetlips, Snappers, Batfish, jacks, Nudibranchs and various other critters that hide in the crevices and frame of the wreck. When she was sunk they gutted her of all obstacles making penetration into the wreck possible and extremely safe. Worth having a look at.

 

 

 

Ernie's Cave 10-30m (33-100ft) Open Water & Advanced

You'll find two small caves on this dive, one at 22m, the other at 28m. Expect to see shoals of unicorn fish, surgeonfish and snappers. On the deeper part of the dive you will see some extremely beautiful gorgonian corals

 

 

 

 

West Escarcero 3-30m(10-100ft)Open Water & Advanced (currents)

Impressive boulders and table corals are the main feature of this site, its a popular dive for photographers.

 

 

 

 

Hole in the Wall 9-19m(30-63ft)Open Water & Advanced (Currents)

Whale Shark Renowned for its ferocious currents, whirlpools, and eddies. One of the most popular sites in the area. Hole in the wall is reach by diving over a field of stunning table corals and drop offs. The hole is located at 14m. and is wide enough for a diver to pass through. The wall then falls away after this into the blue. You stand a good chance of seeing some large pelagic's. Whale Sharks and Mantas have been spotted on a few occasions.

 

 

 

Shark Cave18-30m (60-100ft) Advanced Divers

White TipVery popular dive where you are almost guaranteed to see White tip sharks. During the day, sharks often rest in one of two caves. This is a great photo opportunity because you can get really close to the sharks. This dive then leads into other dive sites along the wall and out into the Canyons as the current picks up. This dive is for advanced divers due to depth and current.

 

 

 

Pink Wall 12-40m (40-130ft) Open Water & Advanced

Actually an overhang. Pink wall is alive with cauliflower corals. A favorite dive with photographers for its vibrant colors.

 

 

 

 

Canyons 12-40m+(40-130ft) Advanced Diver (Fast Currents)

Sweeping Past the CanyonsThis dive rely's on the prevailing currents to sweep you into position. After passing over several small drop offs, you'll find yourself in a area with crevasses hatched into the wall. You can expect to find large schools of different fish species. Also an occasional White tip

 

 

 

 

Sinandigan Wall 3-40m (10-130ft) Open water & Advanced
