The SSI Open Water Diver course, is the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure. Throughout the course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will also earn a SSI Open Water Diver certification that is the most recognized diving qualification worldwide. You earn this rating by completing four beach dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water boat dives.

After your Open Water course, why not embark on SSI Advanced Adventure course and complete some 'Adventure Dives'?
Have you always wanted to try wreck diving? How about underwater photography? Here's your opportunity, because you can sample five dives of your choice out of a long list of possibilities. To become a certified SSI Advanced Adventure Diver, you will need to have achieved five adventure dives with a SSI Certified Instructor. These can be completed in just two days.

When you have achieved a minimum of eighteen dives, in your own time, you are eligible to start the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver. You will complete six dives for four specialties of your choice over four days, accompanied by a Certified Instructor. The dives must include Deep Dive and Navigation Dive specialties.

Combine the two courses over a six day training period, providing recreational divers with the knowledge needed to dive safely and responsibly anywhere in the world. This includes ten dives, four being speciality dives of your choice, all dives will count towards your full Advanced Diver Course.

The purpose of SSI Speciality Courses is to familiarize you with the techniques, knowledge, planning, organisation, potential hazards and safety skills for various special interest areas of diving. The Specialty Course is a safe and supervised introduction into that area.

This five day course is a very important step in expanding knowledge and experience. As with all SSI courses, it is 'performance' based and involves classroom, confined water and beach skill development sessions followed by five open water training sessions. Self-rescue and diver stress, diving first aid, emergency management, equipment considerations, tired diver, panicked diver, response from shore or boat with both a conscious and unconscious victim, distressed diver, surfacing an unconscious diver, unconscious diver at the surface, egress with an unconscious diver, first aid for pressure related injuries, underwater search scenario, response,egress and management scenarios. You will need to complete a first aid administration course seperately.This course is a vital stepping stone into the professional diving career.

This course includes academic knowledge development. Waterman ship and stamina are evaluated together with diving skills, which will be developed to demonstration quality. You will complete a rescue evaluation and underwater mapping exercises as well as demonstrating your skills in dive planning and leadership. You will also function as an instructional assistant, both in confined and open water. Completion of this course qualifies you to attend a SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) and eventual certification as a SSI Open Water Instructor. This course is the first step into the professional diving world and will enable you to travel, work and experience the best diving in the world. The course fee includes manuals and certification.

The qualification everyone wants! Continue your diving career by completing your Open Water Instructor. This is an intensive 10 day course teaching you the fundamentals of instructing open water courses. This course incorporates rescue, openwater training, skills training and theory to prepare and create the best open water instructor possible.
